Stats
Bio
George Woodman was a mature-age forward who broke into the Footscray side during the club's early years in the VFL. Making his debut in 1927 at the age of 27, he quickly established himself as a reliable avenue to goal, possessing the knack of hitting the scoreboard with impressive consistency. He averaged exactly one goal per game across his brief tenure, playing as a dangerous option in attack who could capitalise on limited opportunities. Despite his productive strike rate, Woodman's career at the highest level was short-lived, spanning just two seasons before he departed the Western Oval at the end of 1928.
