Bio
Recruited from the Murray Bushrangers with pick 56 in the 1998 National Draft, Glen Bowyer was a hard-running utility who showed significant promise at Hawthorn during the early 2000s. Recognisable by his shock of blond hair, he cemented a spot in the Hawks' 2001 side, providing drive from defence and the wing as the team pushed deep into September action. His career trajectory was severely impacted by a broken leg sustained in a 2002 pre-season match against Carlton, causing him to miss the entire year and struggle for continuity upon his return. Delisted by Hawthorn, he was handed a lifeline by the Blues in the 2004 Pre-Season Draft, where he was reinvented primarily as a tagger under Denis Pagan before being delisted concluding the 2005 season.
