Bio
Glen Sampson arrived at Footscray via the South Melbourne reserves, joining the club in 1980 in search of the senior opportunities that had eluded him at the Swans. A mid-sized utility standing 179cm, he broke into the Bulldogs' lineup midway through the season, making his VFL debut as a 20-year-old. Sampson managed to string together six games during a challenging campaign for the club, contributing a solitary goal, but he found it difficult to impact contests consistently at the elite level. Unable to cement a permanent spot in the senior side, his brief VFL career concluded at the end of the 1980 season.
