Bio
Recruited from Mentone Grammar, Glenn Nugent was a left-footed wingman who offered glimpses of skill but found it difficult to cement a regular spot in a star-studded Hawthorn side. Breaking into the team as a teenager in 1990, he spent five seasons at Glenferrie Oval operating on the fringes of the senior 22, unable to fully break through during the club's early-90s contendency. In search of more consistent game time, Nugent was traded to St Kilda for a late draft pick ahead of the 1995 season. He added depth to the Saints' midfield rotation, playing 11 games in his first year at Moorabbin before finishing his AFL career at the end of 1996.
