Bio
Recruited from Sunshine in the western suburbs, Graeme Bean was a mid-sized utility who earned his opportunity with Footscray during the 1968 VFL season. He made his senior debut in Round 1 against North Melbourne at the Western Oval, playing the first two matches of the year before earning a recall for a five-game block midway through the season. Standing 180cm, Bean booted his solitary VFL goal during this single-season campaign but was unable to cement a permanent spot in the senior side. Following his seven games at the top level, he returned to local football in the Footscray District League, where he remained an active figure and served as a junior coach for Parkside shortly after his VFL exit.
