Bio
A tall ruckman and key position prospect recruited from Hopetoun, Graeme Hatcher arrived at Windy Hill with significant potential after being named the best player of the 1974 Under-19s finals series. Standing at 193cm, he made his senior debut as an 18-year-old against Melbourne in 1975, rotating between ruck duties and key posts. Despite his junior accolades, Hatcher found it difficult to cement a permanent spot in the senior lineup, managing just nine games across two seasons before departing the VFL. He subsequently carved out a distinguished career in regional football, initially moving to Tasmania to play with Clarence before returning to Victoria's Wimmera-Mallee region as a captain-coach for Woomelang-Lascelles, Warracknabeal, and his original club, Hopetoun.
