Recruited from Murrumbeena, Graeme Jacobs progressed through the Tigers' ranks to play a pivotal role in the club’s inaugural Under-19 premiership victory in 1958. Standing just 170cm, the diminutive rover and forward pocket broke into the senior side the following season, proving to be a handy goal-kicker who finished his VFL career with a perfectly balanced record of 50 goals from 50 games. Known for his determination and ability to hit the scoreboard, including a career-best five-goal haul against St Kilda in 1961, he was a consistent contributor during a transitional period for the club before departing Punt Road at the end of 1963. Jacobs subsequently embarked on a nomadic football journey, showcasing his talents across the country with stints at Clarence in Tasmania and Echuca in country Victoria, eventually rounding out his playing days with three seasons at West Perth in the WAFL.
