Bio
Recruited from the VAFA's Old Scotch, Graeme McLean was a high-marking full forward who arrived at St Kilda with a reputation for strong goalkicking. While he struggled to break into a senior Saints forward line anchored by Kevin Neale, McLean proved his quality in the seconds, topping the VFL reserves goalkicking list with 57 majors in 1968. Limited to just five senior games over two seasons at Moorabbin, he eventually crossed to the VFA where he became a genuine star for Geelong West, headlined by a massive 137-goal haul during the club's undefeated 1971 premiership campaign.
