Bio
Recruited from the Reservoir Football Club in Melbourne’s northern suburbs, Graham Goninon was a medium-sized utility who joined Fitzroy as a promising teenager. He arrived at the Brunswick Street Oval during a particularly bleak period for the Lions, who claimed the wooden spoon in both 1963 and 1964, and he found opportunities scarce at senior level. Goninon managed just four games over three seasons, often playing on the fringe of selection while the club struggled for on-field stability and depth. Following his final VFL appearance in 1965, he moved to the VFA to play with Brunswick before eventually returning to local football with Reservoir.
