Bio
Recruited from Claremont in the WAFL, Graham Moss arrived at Essendon in 1973 and immediately established himself as the premier ruckman of the competition. Possessing a dominant leap and the ability to take contested marks around the ground like a key position forward, he combined traditional ruck craft with exceptional mobility and ball-winning capability. His VFL career was remarkably short but brilliant, culminating in the 1976 Brownlow Medal, three consecutive Crichton Medals, and the club captaincy. Despite his dominance at Windy Hill, Moss returned to Western Australia at the peak of his powers to captain-coach Claremont in 1977, leaving an indelible legacy as one of the game's finest big men despite playing fewer than 100 VFL matches.
