A standout junior from Western Australia, Graham Ramshaw was a high-profile mid-season recruit for Fitzroy in 1964 who forced a clearance from the Perth Football Club by threatening to retire. Arriving as a teenage full forward, he managed just six senior appearances in the VFL before returning to his home state the following year. Back in the WAFL, Ramshaw successfully transitioned into defence, using his height and long clearing drop kicks to become a dominant full back. He enjoyed immense success during Perth's golden era, playing in three consecutive premiership sides between 1966 and 1968, eventually finishing his career with a brief stint at Central District in the SANFL.
