Bio
Recruited from Caulfield, Graham Wise emerged as a reliable key defender for Melbourne during the tail end of the club's dominant era under Norm Smith. Predominantly lining up at full-back, he is best remembered for his role in the 1964 premiership side, where he manned the last line of defence during the Demons' dramatic Grand Final victory over Collingwood. While his VFL career was relatively brief, spanning just four seasons, his tenure famously coincided with the club's last flag for 57 years, cementing his place in Demons history before his departure from the league at the conclusion of the 1966 season.
