Stats
Bio
Recruited from Port Fairy in the Hampden Football League, Grant O'Riley was a towering key forward prospect who stood 193cm. He made his senior debut for Fitzroy late in the 1982 season, immediately showing potential by hitting the scoreboard, but found opportunities limited in a competitive Lions outfit that reached the preliminary final the following year. Unable to cement a permanent place in the attacking arc under coach Robert Walls, O'Riley managed just six senior appearances across two seasons before departing the VFL. He subsequently forged a distinguished tenure in the VFA with Port Melbourne, earning selection for the VFA representative team at the 1988 Bicentennial Carnival, and later served the game as a long-term administrator and board member for Football Victoria.
