Bio
Recruited from Irymple in the Sunraysia Football League, Greg Hollick was a versatile ruck-rover and half-back who made a concentrated impact during his brief time at Punt Road. A clever footballer with a knack for positioning himself to intercept or win clearances, Hollick established himself as a big-game player, notably gathering 28 disposals to be named one of Richmond's best in the famous drawn semi-final against Carlton in 1972. He missed the subsequent Grand Final loss and departed the VFL shortly after, opting to move interstate despite interest from Melbourne. Hollick went on to carve out a distinguished career across the SANFL with West Adelaide and the QAFL with Mayne, eventually crowning his interstate journey by winning the Grogan Medal as the best and fairest player in Queensland in 1981.
