Stats
Bio
Recruited from Stawell in the Wimmera region, Greg Perry was a tall ruckman who provided a physical presence for Essendon throughout the early 1970s. Standing 193cm, he was capable of contesting the tap and drifting forward to hit the scoreboard, notably enjoying a consistent run of form between 1972 and 1974 where he played the bulk of his senior football. His time at Windy Hill was otherwise punctuated by interruptions, as he missed the entire 1971 and 1975 seasons and struggled to secure a permanent spot in the starting lineup outside of that core three-year block. After departing the VFL following a brief handful of games in 1976, Perry returned to country football and forged a respected tenure as a playing coach for regional clubs including Stawell, South Warrnambool, and Heywood.
