Bio
Recruited from Macleod in the Diamond Valley Football League, Greg Whitcroft was a rover who earned a brief opportunity with Collingwood during the 1978 season. He joined the club during the competitive Tom Hafey era, breaking into the seniors to play a handful of games where he rotated through the forward pocket. Although he managed to impact the scoreboard, Whitcroft found it difficult to retain his position in a strong lineup that was destined for a Preliminary Final berth that year. His VFL career was ultimately confined to that single winter at Victoria Park before he moved on from the league.
