Bio
Recruited from the Dandenong Stingrays, Gregory Bentley broke into the AFL via Port Adelaide's rookie list, earning elevation to the senior squad in 2006. A strong-bodied utility who could operate in the midfield or across half-back, he was known for his defensive pressure and work rate, qualities that saw him named an emergency for the Power's 2007 Grand Final side. After 21 games at Alberton, he was delisted but quickly secured a lifeline with Carlton in the rookie draft. Bentley managed five senior appearances for the Blues in 2009, filling a depth role before concluding his AFL career at season's end.
