Bio
Recruited from the Sandringham Dragons with pick 38 in the 2015 National Draft, Harley Balic was a talented midfielder-forward noted for his smooth movement and composure in traffic. After battling a wrist injury during his first season at Fremantle, he made his debut in 2017 and played four games, showing glimpses of his class and capacity to find space. However, struggles with homesickness led him to request a trade back to Victoria, landing at Melbourne in exchange for a late pick ahead of the 2018 season. Balic ultimately could not break into the Demons' senior side and retired midway through the year after losing his passion for the professional environment, tragically passing away in 2022 at just 25 years of age.
