Stats
Bio
Born in Parkville and recruited from the nearby Carlton District amateurs, Harold "Tich" Evans was one of the slightest players to ever pull on the Navy Blue jumper. Standing just 164cm and weighing a mere 60kg, the diminutive rover relied on agility rather than brawn to win the ball in the heavy traffic of VFL contests. He was given a brief opportunity at the senior level late in the 1913 season, debuting in Round 16 against eventual premiers Fitzroy and making one further appearance in a win over Richmond two weeks later. Unable to secure a permanent spot in a Carlton side that was on the verge of back-to-back premierships in the subsequent years, his senior career was fleeting, leaving him as a footnote in the club's history as a local lightweight who briefly stepped up to the big league.
