Stats
Bio
Recruited from Oakleigh, Harrie Hattam established himself as a mainstay in the St Kilda defence during the years leading up to the Great War. Standing 178cm, he was a durable and consistent backman who rarely ventured forward, registering just two major scores across his entire six-year tenure. He became a fixture in the Saints' lineup immediately upon his arrival in 1910, providing much-needed stability in the back half for a team that often found itself fighting against the odds near the bottom of the ladder. Hattam retired from VFL football at the conclusion of the 1915 season, ending his career as a faithful defensive servant for the club just as the competition began to face significant disruptions from the war effort.
