Bio
Harrison Chapman is a rangy outside midfielder who has emerged as a damaging transition player for the Eastern Ranges and Vic Metro. Emerging from the Boronia Hawks, Chapman tasted premiership success as a bottom-age player with the Ranges in 2025 before taking his game to new heights. The son of former Brisbane and Hawthorn player Nathan Chapman, he is not eligible as a father-son prospect as his father fell short of the 100-game qualification. Instead, Chapman enters the open draft pool as a member of the AFL National Academy and a national draft combine invitee, widely rated as a prospect who could be selected anywhere from the middle of the first round into the second round.
On the field, Chapman thrives on the wing and across half back. A former junior national sprinter, he possesses bounding speed, genuine zip and the ability to find space ahead of the ball. Scouts have praised his long stride, elite run and carry, and polished decision making when moving the ball in transition. While he has been given opportunities to develop his inside and contested midfield craft this season, his greatest strengths remain his outside run, overlap possession and attacking drive.
