Bio
Recruited from Leopold, Harry Barnes joined North Melbourne in 1926 as the club looked to consolidate its list during its second season in the VFL. Standing 180cm with a solid frame, he offered a physical presence and utility value, managing to boot two goals across his eight senior appearances. While his top-level career was restricted to a single winter at Arden Street, Barnes eventually became a significant figure in the club's history through his longevity, passing away in 2001 at the age of 98 as one of the last surviving links to the Shinboners' foundation era in the major league.
