Bio
A product of Footscray Tech Old Boys, Harry Chalmers began his senior career with North Melbourne during the roster chaos of the Second World War. After managing ten games for the Shinboners in the 1943 season, the 180cm utility requested a clearance to his local district club, crossing to the Western Oval to join Footscray the following year. Chalmers was primarily used in defensive roles, adding necessary depth to the Bulldogs' back half for two seasons before finishing his VFL tenure as the war concluded in 1945.
