Bio
Recruited from the country town of Yea, Harry Davis was a forward who made a brief but notable cameo for Essendon during the 1905 season. He broke into the Same Olds' lineup for the opening round clash against Carlton, quickly establishing himself as a regular contributor who could offer a target in attack. While his club goal tally was modest, Davis demonstrated significant potential by earning selection for a VFL representative side in the middle of the season, where he lined up at full-forward and booted three goals against the Ballarat Football Association at the MCG. He retained his place in the senior side late in the year to feature in Essendon’s finals campaign, playing his eleventh and final game in the semi-final defeat to Fitzroy before concluding his league career.
