Bio
Recruited from the Goldfields town of Dunolly, Harry Gathercole was a country forward who made a fleeting but efficient contribution to St Kilda during the pre-war era. Arriving at the Junction Oval late in the 1910 season, he displayed an immediate nose for the goals, managing to average a major per game across his three senior appearances. Despite his ability to hit the scoreboard as a mid-sized target, Gathercole could not secure a regular spot in the Saints' lineup, playing his final match early in the 1911 season before eventually returning to regional life in Victoria's north-west.
