Bio
Recruited from Brunswick, Harry Jones faced the difficult task of breaking into a formidable Collingwood lineup during the club's successful 1930s era. A wingman capable of rotating forward, he made his debut midway through the 1936 premiership season but could not retain his spot for the finals campaign. Jones spent his three years at Victoria Park on the fringe of selection, battling to displace established stars in a side that consistently played deep into September. While he managed 17 senior games and kicked eight goals, he largely provided depth for the Magpies before departing the VFL scene at the end of 1938.
