Bio
Recruited from VFA side Sandringham, Henry "Harry" Mallett was a diminutive wingman who made a brief cameo for Essendon in the latter stages of the 1936 season. After impressing across 25 games in the Association, he was brought into the Bombers' senior lineup for a debut against Collingwood in Round 15. Standing just 171cm, he held his spot for two matches before drifting out of the side. His League career was ultimately curtailed by professional obligations rather than lack of ability, as an employment transfer to Sydney forced his permanent departure from Victoria shortly after his stint at Windy Hill. Mallett later served with the 2/7th Australian Infantry Battalion during the Second World War.
