Bio
Recruited from the Collingwood Juniors, Harry Neil was a sturdy defender who found his footing in the VFL with Richmond after a false start at Victoria Park. Unable to break into a strong Magpies lineup permanently in 1904, he dropped down to the VFA with Prahran, where his consistent form eventually earned him a second chance at the elite level. Neil joined Richmond for their inaugural VFL season in 1908, instantly becoming a regular fixture in the Tigers' backline during their formative years in the league. He served the club as a reliable full-back for two and a half seasons, providing defensive stability to the fledgling side before transferring back to Prahran midway through 1910.
