Bio
Recruited from Buninyong in the Ballarat district, Harry Parsons was a country recruit who arrived at the Junction Oval as St Kilda began a slow ascent from the cellar of the VFL ladder. He received his first taste of senior football with three games in late 1906 but was unable to secure a spot during the club’s historic 1907 breakthrough season, where the Saints reached the finals for the first time. Parsons returned to the senior side in 1908, playing the majority of his career matches that year as a serviceable forward option who could hit the scoreboard, notably booting two goals against Essendon at East Melbourne. Despite finding some continuity in his second stint, his time at the elite level was brief, concluding his VFL tenure with just 13 games as the club continued to reshape its list.
