Bio
Harry Pollock was a patient ruckman who served a dedicated apprenticeship at Punt Road before eventually finding his niche as a successful country coach. A local Richmond product, he toiled largely in the reserves, where he became a stalwart leader and captained the seconds in 1925, but found senior opportunities scarce in a competitive Tigers lineup. Despite only playing 16 senior games, his ability was respected enough to earn selection for a VFL representative side against the Ovens & Murray League in 1926. Following his time at the Tigers, Pollock moved to Tasmania to replace the legendary "Checker" Hughes as coach of Ulverstone—representing the state at the 1927 Carnival—before finishing his career in the Wimmera, where he captain-coached Murtoa to a premiership in 1932.
