Bio
Harry Powditch was a diminutive rover and forward pocket who briefly emerged at Fitzroy during the later years of the First World War. Born in Footscray, the 168cm small man was given an opportunity at VFL level in 1917, managing just two senior appearances over two seasons as the league grappled with wartime player shortages. Unable to secure a regular spot in the Maroons' lineup, he requested a clearance to the VFA in May 1919, finding a more permanent home with Northcote. Powditch proved to be a handy acquisition at the lower level, becoming a regular contributor in the "Brickfielders" midfield and forward line where he booted 16 goals in 28 games across two seasons.
