Stats
Bio
Recruited from Warrnambool in the Hampden Football League, Harry Somerville arrived at North Melbourne as a diminutive rover and forward pocket capable of hitting the scoreboard. Standing just 170cm, he made his senior debut during the 1947 season and immediately showed a sharp eye for goal, booting eight majors across his brief six-game tenure at Arden Street. Despite this promising strike rate, which saw him average more than a goal a game, his time at the top level was fleeting; he did not feature for the Shinboners beyond that solitary season and eventually drifted out of the VFL landscape.
