Bio
Harry "Herb" Symonds was a goal-kicking follower recruited from the Melbourne Trades who earned his opportunity during a period of significant list turnover for the Demons. Hailing from Port Albert, he was one of ten debutants unveiled in the 1907 season opener as the club sought to reset after a poor campaign. Symonds made an immediate impression by booting a goal on debut in a win over South Melbourne, proving to be a handy option who could push forward and impact the scoreboard. He managed three goals across his four senior appearances before drifting out of the side following the Round 7 victory over Fitzroy.
