Bio
Hailing from Macedon, Harry Tampling was a follower who experienced a disjointed VFL career spread across two clubs and four years. He managed a solitary senior appearance for Melbourne in 1920 before leaving the club just weeks after his debut, opting to ply his trade in the country leagues including a stint in Mildura. Tampling eventually resurfaced in the league with St Kilda in 1924, adding another six games to his tally as a 27-year-old. Unable to secure a long-term spot at the Junction Oval, he ultimately returned to Macedon where he finished his playing days.
