Bio
Arriving at South Melbourne from VFA outfit West Melbourne, Harry Wilson was a defender whose brief VFL career was defined by a rapid ascent to the game’s biggest stage. Although an injury delayed his debut until Round 7 of the 1907 season, he quickly cemented a spot in the lineup, holding down a back pocket position in that year’s Grand Final loss to Carlton. Despite featuring in a premiership decider during his rookie campaign, Wilson found himself on the outer early the following year. After managing just two appearances in 1908, he was dropped from the senior side and subsequently cleared to Prahran in the VFA to continue his football journey.
