Bio
Harvey Dunn jnr holds a unique place in league history as the first player officially recruited under the father-son rule. The son of former Blue Harvey Dunn Sr, he was residentially zoned to North Melbourne but played in the VFA with Box Hill until the new regulation allowed him to transfer to Princes Park in 1951. A diminutive rover and forward, Dunn showed immense quality in the lower grades, winning the thirds best and fairest and playing in two reserves premierships, but he struggled to translate that dominance into a regular senior berth. After finding opportunities limited to just a handful of games over four seasons, he returned to Box Hill where he became a club champion, remembered as a pioneering figure in list management history rather than a long-term VFL regular.
