Bio
Recruited from Ringwood, Haydn Robins was a pacy and rugged defender who earned his senior debut at Melbourne after winning the club's reserves Best and Fairest in 1991. Operating primarily across the half-back flank, he was known for his aggression and high-flying marking ability despite possessing a somewhat awkward kicking style. His two-season stint with the Demons famously included a tribunal hearing in 1993 where he was suspended for breaking the arm of Richmond's Stevan Jackson. Ironically, Robins found himself at Punt Road the following season after being selected by the Tigers in the 1994 Pre-Season Draft, becoming teammates with the player he had injured. He added just four games to his tally at Richmond before departing the AFL to play for Woodville-West Torrens in the SANFL.
