Bio
Recruited from North Hobart following a premiership victory in the TFL, Haydon Kilmartin was originally selected by Melbourne in the 1991 National Draft but failed to crack the senior side during his time with the Demons. The wingman and ruck-rover headed west to reignite his career with East Fremantle in the WAFL, where a stellar 1997 campaign saw him finish runner-up in the Sandover Medal. That form earned him a second chance at AFL level, with Hawthorn recruiting the mature-age midfielder in the 1998 Pre-Season Draft. Kilmartin finally made his senior debut at 24 years of age and played 10 games for the Hawks, mostly used in a rotation role off the bench, before departing the league at the end of the season.
