Bio
Heath Wilson is a reliable and versatile medium defender who has developed through the South Fremantle pathway. Hailing from Mundijong JFC, Wilson established himself in the WAFL Colts and earned state representation for Western Australia at both Under 16 and Under 18 levels. After initially making the State 18s squad as a bottom-ager, he was elevated to the main playing list for the 2026 National Championships. At club level, Wilson enjoyed a consistent draft year, helping drive the Bulldogs to a WAFL Colts Grand Final appearance.
Operating primarily across half-back, Wilson positions himself expertly behind the ball to orchestrate his team's rebound. Scouts note his overlap run, sharp foot skills and strong frame, which allow him to absorb pressure and release teammates cleanly. While he provides valuable drive, he is equally capable as a lockdown defender, fighting hard in one-on-one contests and standing up in tackles. Though he has also spent time in the midfield and up forward, his defensive traits make him a prominent talent on the AFL recruiting radar as a balanced general defender.
