Stats
Bio
Recruited from Minyip in the Wimmera region, Hedley Wills was a tall key-position prospect who played a brief cameo for South Melbourne during the 1959 VFL season. Standing 188cm, he possessed significant height for the era and was utilised as a marking target capable of drifting forward to impact the scoreboard. He showed early promise by booting three goals across his three senior matches after making his debut in Round 7, but found opportunities limited in a competitive lineup. Despite his reasonable return in front of goal, Wills was unable to cement a permanent place in the side and his VFL career concluded at the end of that single season.
