Bio
Recruited from Rutherglen in the Ovens and Murray district, Henry Crisfield arrived at Princes Park at the dawn of a significant new era, making his debut in Round 1, 1902—the very first match under the leadership of legendary secretary-coach Jack Worrall. Standing 178cm, a robust size for the turn of the century, Crisfield was immediately thrown into the fray against Geelong and managed to hold his spot in the senior side for the first five consecutive rounds of the season. He showed some capability near the big sticks, booting three goals during his brief tenure, but his VFL career was abruptly cut short after those five appearances, with the country recruit ultimately disappearing from the League scene as quickly as he had arrived.
