Henry Schade

Recruited from North Hobart with pick 24 in the 2011 National Draft, Henry Schade was a tall key defender tasked with locking down opposition forwards during Gold Coast's formative years. Despite his significant height and reach, he struggled to cement a regular position in the Suns' backline, managing just 20 appearances across six seasons before being delisted at the end of 2016. Offered a lifeline by Collingwood in the rookie draft, Schade was immediately thrust into the senior side for the opening round of the 2017 season, playing the first eight games as a stop-gap defensive option while the club managed an injury crisis. However, once the Magpies' preferred talls returned to the lineup, he fell out of favour and was delisted for a final time at the conclusion of that year.
