Bio
Recruited from Gisborne in country Victoria, Herbert Rodd was a forward option who made a brief cameo for Melbourne during the 1910 VFL season. He showed some aptitude near the big sticks, booting five goals across his nine senior appearances and managing to hold his place in the side for nearly half the year. Despite his ability to hit the scoreboard, Rodd's time at the highest level was confined to that single campaign, after which he departed the VFL scene, remaining one of the many short-term players who cycled through the club during the pre-war era.
