Bio
Recruited from Cheltenham, Horrie Stanway was a rover and wingman who played two seasons with Footscray during the early 1930s. He featured 20 times for the Bulldogs as a rotational small option before crossing to Richmond for the 1932 season in search of further opportunities. His stint at Punt Road proved brief, yielding only a single senior appearance—a Round 2 clash against Melbourne—before he departed the VFL level. Stanway eventually extended his career in the VFA with Williamstown and later found success as a premiership-winning captain-coach with McKinnon in the Federal Football League.
