Bio
Recruited from the GWV Rebels with pick 50 in the 2022 National Draft, Hugh Bond arrived at Adelaide with a reputation for elite endurance forged through a background in competitive rowing. After his debut season was derailed by a knee injury, he eventually broke into the senior side and established himself as a rugged defensive option capable of playing small or tall. Bond found his greatest utility as a run-with player, often tasked with tagging dangerous opposition distributors where his high-pressure tackling and discipline were key assets. Despite showing promise as a lockdown specialist, he has struggled to cement a permanent spot in the Crows' lineup, managing just 12 games over his tenure while oscillating between senior duties and the SANFL.
