Bio
Recruited from Manuka in the ACT after featuring in back-to-back local premierships, Ian Low arrived at Footscray in 1975 and quickly adapted to the VFL pace as a handy wingman and half-forward. He proved to be a reliable avenue to goal for the Bulldogs, booting 65 majors across five seasons and featuring in the club's record-breaking score against St Kilda in 1978. Low crossed to Collingwood for the 1980 season, a move that allowed him to experience a deep September campaign. He produced a standout performance in the Semi Final against Carlton, kicking four goals to help propel the Magpies into the Grand Final, where he lined up on a half-forward flank in the season decider against Richmond.
