Bio
Recruited from East Perth in the WAFL, Ian McCulloch joined Fitzroy as a mature-age arrival ahead of the 1972 season. He quickly established himself as a dashing half-back flanker, utilising his pace and skill to generate drive from the back half while occasionally drifting forward to hit the scoreboard. McCulloch proved to be a durable and consistent performer for the Lions during the mid-1970s, missing very few matches during his first three years at the Junction Oval. After four seasons of service in the VFL, he concluded his tenure with Fitzroy at the end of the 1975 season.
