Bio
Recruited from Bendigo YCW, Ian McGregor was a tall utility who arrived at North Melbourne as a teenager in the early 1960s. Standing 184cm, he made his senior debut in 1961 but struggled to cement a place in the lineup, spending the next two entire seasons out of the firsts while the Shinboners built towards a preliminary final appearance. McGregor earned a solitary recall in 1964, effectively serving as a depth player who could fill gaps when required. Unable to secure a regular berth in the starting 18, his VFL career concluded with just two senior games spread across four years before he departed the top level.
