Bio
Recruited from Daylesford, Ian Sartori was a nippy rover who commenced his VFL career with St Kilda in 1978. After playing 47 games over four seasons at Moorabbin, he crossed to Richmond for the 1982 season seeking greater success. He made an immediate impact at Punt Road, playing 14 games in his debut year for the club, culminating in an appearance in the Tigers' Grand Final loss to Carlton. Despite this promising start in yellow and black, Sartori struggled to command a regular senior spot or overcome injury setbacks in subsequent years, adding just four more games to his tally between 1983 and 1986 before his VFL career concluded.
