Stats
Bio
Recruited from the prolific football nursery of St Patrick’s College in Ballarat, Ian Slockwitch was a diminutive rover who earned a brief opportunity at VFL level with Richmond. Standing just 168cm, he was one of the slightest players on the list when he broke into Des Rowe’s senior side as a 19-year-old during the 1961 season. Donning the number 40 guernsey, Slockwitch played two games in a struggling lineup that ultimately finished tenth on the ladder. While his time at Punt Road was fleeting, his selection capped a rapid rise from school football to the elite level, though he departed the club at the end of the year without adding to his game tally.
